...snow days

• Catching a bus up the hill and then walking half a mile to work because I'm too scared to risk driving the hire car I'm using after my accident last week! 

• Keeping warm inside as drifts form on the kitchen window-sill.

• Stopping to admire a hardy clump of crocus flowers blazing yellow-orange against the white. 

• Appreciating the trusty boots that kept me sure-footed and upright until I could face getting back behind the wheel.

• Making steady progress on the first of two baby blankets while watching the last few episodes of Breaking Bad. What a finale!
